Mountain Quarry is the Perth area's premier outdoor climbing crag. It is located within Greenmount National Park, north of Coulston Road. It is very well-developed with a large number of bolted routes, having first been visited in the 1960s and developed ever since.

Since its opening, it has has been ranked in the top 20 public courses in the United States every year it has been eligible.
Mount Rand and West Quarry Mountain Peaks is a 3.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Gilford, New Hampshire that features a cave and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and nature trips and is best used from April until November.

This trail starts from the Cabe Lands Trail and descends a gentle ridge 0.38 mile crossing Rhodes Creek at the base of the Eno Quarry. The trail continues with a 0.42-mile loop around the quarry rim. Caution should be taken around the quarry. It is dangerous with steep drop offs, no shallow areas, depths at the banks generally exceeding 25 feet and maximum depths of 60 feet.
